We put together Headlice-Advice.net due to the huge amount of misinformation out there on the internet regarding headlice. We've been there and we don't like what we see.

By the time we eliminated our lice, we were head lice experts, hence this website! We put this website together to help other parents have the same success.

We've answered what we hope is every common headlice question there is and put it into short, sharp, succinct article format that is easy to follow.

What are some home remedies to kill head lice?

There are many head lice home remedies bantered about on the internet.

I’m not going to go too far into all the home remedies to rid head lice, as you can do a search for home remedies for killing head lice, and the first couple of hundred pages of Google will do this for you.

What I will talk about are some natural home remedies for head lice, and dispel some head lice myths.

How to kill head lice?

Head lice are actually quite easy to kill, you can take them out fairly easy by smothering them, or with anything mint flavored, like toothpaste. It’s the nits you have to worry about.

Does tumble dryer kill head lice?

Yes. Head lice and eggs die at 60 degree Celsius.

Does hair dye kill head lice?

Yes it does. A lot of things kill head lice. It will not kill the eggs, and this is your main concern.

Does corn oil kill head lice louse?

Any oil will smother head lice, but again, it will not kill the nits.

Can I kill head lice with vinegar?

Vinegar may kill some of the lice, but it will not kill the eggs. This is used to help remove the nits once all the lice have been safely killed with a natural head lice home treatment.

Will salt water kill head lice?

Yes, it will suck all the moisture out of them, but not the eggs.

Baby oil to kill head lice?

Any oil will smother head lice.

Will alcohol kill head lice?
